I'm considering buying a Peavey Nashville 112. I'm using a Fender Princeton Reverb Reissue right now with a Sierra S8 lap steel and it sounds good. That said, I also use a Boss eBand that I run through my Bose Companion 3 computer speakers. I've set up a patch on the Boss eBand that sounds excellent. This may sound strange, but I like the sound of the Boss eBand better than the Princeton Reverb. The Eband through the Bose has a cleaner tone than I can get with the Princeton. The Eband is more articulate, but still has a richness to it that I love. I've thought about just using the eBand through a powered PA like the QSC-10 or QSC-12.
So I guess my question is, how would you compare the Nashville 112 to the Princeton Reverb? Is the Nashville 112 going to sound cleaner? Also, what exactly does the different chips do for the sound of the Nashville 112? By the way, I know I've posted the Princeton Reverb vs Nashville 112 question before, but that was before I set up and used the Boss eBand. Thought I'd get a fresh take on all this. |
