I have a MSA d/o pedal steel with case. It is white, double neck. 10 string each neck. 8 pedals and 4 knee. Was purchased used. Sorry I originally said new but that was another single neck that he had. The serial number is 2C2444. I contacted MSA and they gave me the following information:
Hi Becky,
I'll be happy to help as best I can.
I assume you also have the case and it too is in excellent condition. Guitars like that usually sell for between $1395.00 to $1695. You can ask for more and possibly get it, but you must consider the guitar is a double raise and double lower pulling system guitar which is limiting for some players.
Hope this helps.
Kindest regards,
Reece
Used by my father until his passing. Asking $1500. I have additional pictures if you are interested. Please contact Becky @ daisylootoo@gmail.com for more information.

Well, thanks to Becky and her family this MSA will be coming home with me this Thursday! I am SOOOO excited to say the least! My wife and I will be making the trip across the State to pick up the MSA this Thursday! I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas. After exchanging personal stories with Becky about myself and her Dad I can't help but feel that this was meant to be! _________________ Been at this damn thing for a few years now. Congratulations Joe on aquiring a nice piece of equipment.
I owned a D12 the same exact color with eight pedals and four knees.
If I had known what I have learned about pedal steel in the last four years I would have kept it at least until I couldn't carry it any more, which, would be about now. : )
You are receiving a good steel from some nice people and you will get tons of enjoyment as a result I'm sure.
Congrats to you both.

Thank you for the kind words! I am just looking forward to playing something with more sustain. I did get a chance one time to play the guy who gave me a couple of lessons' MSA SD-10 and WOW, it seemed liked it could almost play itself! I just can't wait to get it! _________________ Been at this damn thing for a few years now. Not so sure that I'm getting anywhere but it is fun. Sometimes. |

I just wanted to say thanks again to Becky and her family. My wife, son and I took a ride across the state today and picked up the MSA.
Home now cleaning and stringing the ole girl up with some new strings. She's gonna need some updated wiring but for right now she is fired up and I am going to give it a whirl! I will treat your Dad's guitar with all the respect in the world and I hope it makes you all happy knowing just how thrilled I am to finally have a professional pedal steel guitar!
Sincerely,

Joe,
You're a class guy ! I'm sure Becky appreciates the
comments about her Dad's guitar. And the fact that she has found it a good home with a player who will
appreciate it.
I had several MSA guitars in the 70's and 80s.
They are great guitars! You've got a good'n.
Enjoy.

Scott,
Thanks for the kind words. That was quite nice of you to say! However I am truly honored to own this beauty. I thought I was stuck with the Carter Starter for some time to come but with a stroke of luck and a few things falling into place I guess it was meant to be!
A little time and some cleaning products to take the dust off she is looking nice. Some brass wool on the stainless and on the aluminum and Wow, Becky's Dad sure took care of this ole guitar as there is not a scratch on her anywhere! _________________ Been at this damn thing for a few years now.
