I've moved up from a Maverick to an MSA Classic D-10, now I get to sit at the grownups table!

Chris, it's not a luxury car. it just feels like it when you try to lift it.
Seriously, welcome to the club. I'm selling mine to buy another _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
More amps than guitars, and not many effects |

Nice! That's one of the earlier maple bodied, guitars, and probably the best-sounding of that style they made. |

Al, you traded in a jalopy for a Rolls Royce. You guitar is similar to the one in my avatar, which I played over 25 years, and only sold because I got a lighter one. (It didn't wear out, I did. )
Judging from the silk screened fretboard, I'd say that your guitar was made between 1977 and 1980. Also, it looks like the pickup on the E9 neck was replaced, possibly by a Truetone.
Enjoy you new axe, and welcome to the MSA family. _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

Thanks everyone, I'm really happy with it. According to the seller, it's a '77. The E9 pickup was replaced with a Trutone, I don't have an opinion on that pickup yet, but the stock pup on the C6 neck is MUCH hotter!
The guitar was originally blue, which it still is on the underside. Topside there is just a slight blue tint in certain light.
And yes, it's heavy! _________________ Sierra U-12, Gretsch 6120, Fender Tele, old tube amps, etc... |
