Just saw a new show on RFD called Virgina Dreams Centerstage. They had a great band and I think it was Mike Douchette on steel. He was playing a Stage One I think. They even had Jimmy Fortune doing a commercial. I look forward to it next week.

I caught the last few moments of the show, was amazed at the tone Mike was achieving from what is essentially marketed as an entry to intermediate level instrument. Both playing and tone were impressive indeed. Sincerely hope this episode is rerun.

David I couldn't agree more. This was the first time I have seen this show and I think it is new to RFD. The credits ran so quickly I couldn't tell if this is the show band or if the musicians were for this show only, but I thought it was good and Mike had really good tone.

Thanks, guys. Nice to know some folks actually saw it! I wasn't sure. The ones airing now are from my first time up there. I'm heading up this weekend for the second round. It's an all day affair where they cut several shows out of the day, so if it stays like that, it looks like it'll be every two months for the tapings. This weekend, the guest is Colin Raye, so it should be a ball.

I appreciate the tone comments! I'm not kidding when I say the Stage One is the best recording guitar I've ever owned, period. I'm very, very happy with them.

Harold, does your cable service carry the Blue Highways TV channel? If so, the show is shown on that channel too. In our area, Blue Highways just ran a show that was taped in 2010. Brad Corbin from the Shenandoah Valley was on steel in that one.

George I am on Direct TV. I see the Blue Highways on some of the shows RFD carries. I guess they are picking them up from Blue Highways.
