I have many questions! First things first as they say...
1. What does each of these switches do??
2. What kind of pick ups are these?
3. The C pedal rod for the 5th string has become detached. What is the easiest way to access the changer to reconnect it? (Picture of the rod in hand and the rod laying naturally)
4. Keep in mind string 5 rod isn't connected, but when I press the C pedal down, the fourth string doesn't raise in pitch until the pedal is pretty much touching the floor. What needs to be adjusted here? (picture of the rod before and after the pedal is engaged at changer and crank)
5. Lastly, what is this round thingy the rod is going through and what does it do??
Thanks for your help! Hope I made it clear enough _________________ Johnny Up PSG Lessons @

John, The center switch is more than likely a neck selector switch. The other two are coil taps for each pick-up.
Normally the 4th string wont raise at all if one of that changes rods are not hooked up to the changer. You get the 5th string raise hooked up and the 4th will work fine. The easiest way took hook up that 5th string rod is to remove the long part from the singletree (small flat piece). The threads on the long part are left hand and on the hook end are right hand. Thread the rod back together and hook it into the open slot in the changer, then hook it back up to the singletree. Leave the locknut loose and adjut the length of the pull rod by turning the turnbuckle. One way shortens the rod, the opposite lengthens it. This is how you adjust the pull on a ZB. The key is getting the endplate tuners to bottom out at the same time, even if the rod os not straight to the changer or the singletree sets at an angle.
Lastly the round "thingy" is for your E to F lever on the 4th string. That rod hooks to the lever and goes all the way through the changer and endplate to a fine tuning nut located in the middle row of holes at the endplate. Instead of hooking into the changer like all the other pulls, this pull against a welded loop on top of the raise finger.
Also, if you hook your pedal rods up to the next hole in the "L" brackets, you will get an easier pull. It will help take some of the stiffness out of the pedals.

Thank you! I got it all hooked back up. The problem I'm running into now is when I engage the C pedal, the fingers don't start moving until the pedal is halfway down. This is especially true with the 4th string. The end plate tuners have enough slack for plenty of travel. And I've tighten the rod for the 4th string as you described as much as possible, yet it still seems too long. And oh my lord, as I'm writing this I think I just figured out I need to attach the rod in hole further back in the changer... I'll be back! _________________ Johnny Up PSG Lessons @

Side question... Why doesn't the 8th string F lever have a loop like the 4th string? _________________ Johnny Up PSG Lessons @

Because you aren't raising the 8th string to F# on another pedal like you do on the 4th string. The rod for the F on string 8 can just hook to the changer lever as normal. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Gotcha. I'm still running into this: Both strings 4 & 5 reach the correct pitch when the C pedal is fully engaged. String 4 doesn't start raising in pitch until string 5 is raised around a half step (almost like there's a half stop). Is this a matter of changing the angle of the singletree and/or changing the length of a rod with the turnbuckle? _________________ Johnny Up PSG Lessons @
