This is actually my best guitar, but I need to have a few guitars, have decided to standardize on another brand, and am in the process of switching the stable over...the Rains action is crisp and smooth, the guitar is built like a Mercedes, and it is a joy to play. The added Trutone brings it alive...$2,200 + shipping.

It is an upgraded 2006, built by Bob Rains himself, and then upgraded to current specs (cross-shaft stuff, etc.) and leather pad added by Gary Carpenter at Rains Guitar in 2009. It is in great shape. One 1/4" scratch on left endplate where the dumb guitar player butted his guitar stand up against the Rains and left it there for a while (yeah, the guitar player was me.).

Copedent is standard Emmons, RKL does G#>F# on 6 (love that V chord with LKR), and F#-G# on 1. RKR is D>C# and D#>D>C# (but I have it adjusted to stop at D, which I use a lot...easy to change, tighten the nylon nut and reset lever travel). LVL is E>F# on 4 and 8 - gives you a much smoother A+B->B+C change, good for chord flow and melody with a pull on 6,5,and 4 without moving your foot....b0b here on the forum uses this pull. Would be easy for you to rest to the standard B>Bb if you like. Pedal 4 was a Franklin (strings 5,6,10 down a step), I currently have it off the guitar because I didn't use that change and needed room for my effects pedal board, but it would easily go back if you want (undercarriage structure still there).

I can do those changes back to whatever if you don't want to try out my version...

Michael liked the Rains, but in the end, decided he just was an Emmons guy....so it is still for sale...my discussion with him ended at $2,200, he liked the price but heard the call of the big "E"...
I will offer the Forum the same price now....

Charlie-
Thanks for the kind words....yeah, people love the look and sound of this guitar live...and it plays so smooth, you did a great job getting it together perfectly! It is noticed by other pedal steel players at gigs....
