After many years Dick Meis has decided to no longer organize and host the Rocky Mountain Steel Guitar Show, so Bob Case and I have decided to step up and promote a new steel guitar show. The Denver Steel Guitar Show will be held July 29 from 12-7 at Lannie's Cabaret (16th and Arapahoe, Denver) lannie.com Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at Lannie's site or at the door. Some of the confirmed players and their bands include Bob Case, Chuck Lettes, Scotty, George Sypert, Howard Palmer, Margie Mays, Daniel Jones, Glenn Taylor, Susan Alcorn, Chris Kennison and John Arnold. Expect to hear a wide variety of steel guitar (pedal and non-pedal) in concert. Contact Chuck Lettes (clettes@comcast.net) or Bob Case (case595@comcast.net) for more information.
