I have been enjoying this forum for many years. finally I can post a picture of my lap steels the way I always wanted them photographed; on a stage all set for the gig.
our new band debuted last saturday. I got to play Sleepwalk on the 36' Rickenbacher Model 59, and the 1940 Epiphone Zephyr leaning against the wall. that's for Mercury Blues.
we had a blast and rocked the house. a small rural road bar with a great dance hall. they want us back.
I and so much fun. and the steels sounded great.
they were nice to me and they let me hit all the notes I wanted.

Hope that your date lasted past midnight, you didn't get "strung out" and got more than a peck on the cheek at the door!! Seriously sounds like you had a ball, congratulations!!
