Louis I hope you and your doc can whip that stuff brother!!. I have COPD from 28 years of enjoying those overpriced cancer sticks!.
I know other ex smokers are the worst about them but I think a lot of us have suffered over them. there are days I walk 5 ft and have to sit down because I can't breathe..I will say a Prayer for you and hope for the best for your total recovery. Your Steel looks like one Doug Jernigan had on the front of an Album Cover???(well I think it does:) if someone has it I wish they would post it so I could see if my memory still works:). those Pro 3's are some kind of a Bud good luck in your sale... |

Thanks for your comment and your thoughts.
One of the hardest things (for me, at least) is not "preaching" to "kids" (I'm 67.. now, almost everyone is a "kid") about smoking. "Hey, kid... enjoying that ciggie? Want to see my chemo port?"
As for the Pro III, I've never gotten to the point where I thought I could actually play it. I, however, I'm darn sure that I'm a quite respectable bass player. My Rickenbacker 4003 is not for sale.
Clint Eastwood (Dirty Harry) explained it all.. "A man has to know his limitations." _________________ Louis Schubert

Louis I also had a 4003 Rick bass.
I ad it LESS than a month I was in a gospel group with my brothers the service was over my borhter tossed the keys over my bass case which of course had to be OPEN,they keys HIT my Bass and put a BIG GOUGE in the front of it,My other brother had hit the front of the last bass I had,OK After the Rick got damaged I bought a brand new ARIA Pro with gold hardware,a man help us load equipment in our Van shove one of our heavy moitors in the bass case was so thin it pushed the volume control thru the case cracked the whole area around the control,I just played it that was three bass's in a ROW damaged..
that Rick in 1987 was about 1500.00 if I remember right. |
