It's funny that when I accidentaly hit the open strings of my acoustic I'm always reminded of this chord/song. Some similarity in tone colours maybe, although in a different key.

I barre at the 3rd fret, with one finger on the 5th string, 5th fret, and another finger on the 3rd string, 5th fret

Yes, four separate chords. The piano really brings it together. Simply brilliant. There are clips of the four separate pieces on Youtube. I would suspect George Martin had a hand in that.

Hey, I agree The Chord is great. My 'so what' was because it has already been discussed to death in the past here on the Forum. If it wasn't attached to the Beatles, would it even matter? Oh Well
