Does anyone know the threading for the old Fender Dual Professional legs? |

Hi Joel,
I'm not a machinist, but I got out a tape measure and came up with a calculation of....
Eight threads to the inch(lenght).
The length I measured was a total of 11/16", with only the top 1/2" being threaded(4 threads over 1/2"). Below the threads was an unthreaded area of 3/16" in length. This area was milled to a slightly smaller dimention than the depth of the threads above it.
I'm guessing this piece was milled from 3/4" stock, as the outside width at the threads is 11/16".
Hope this helps. |

All of the Fender non-pedal steels I've seen had 3/4X10 threads per inch. Try a standard 3/4 coarse thread bolt to check it with.

I made up some adapters so I could use pedal steel legs on an older console steel.
I drilled out the centers of coarse threaded 3/4" bolts and tapped them for 1/2" coarse threads.
I cut them to length and epoxied them to the legs. |
