I'm new to playing lap steel and have been looking for a basic chord chart of the above chords and haven't had much luck. I did buy the DeWitt Scott C9 book but it doesn't have what I'm looking for. When I first started playing guitar, I had a chord book with them all laid out.....I didn't know if there was something similar for lap steel...thanks |

Do you mean C6th tuning rather than C9th?
1. E
2. C
3. A
4. G
5. E
6. C
Here's one such chart. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

Here's another way to look at chords on a C6 neck. The chart below doesn't represent frets 1 through 12, but rather the 6 frets above and below a "home" position: fret 5 for the key of F, fret 7 for the key of G, fret 12 (or fret 0) for the key of C, etc. You can see the notes within each chord in that key. It may look a bit confusing at first, but it really helps you see the patterns that exist for the chords, regardless of key.
