All I can say is WOW!!!! I played this guitar at the Dallas show and loved it, having it here and set up and playing it for only a couple hours causes me to remember why I started on this journey. The band I fronted did a summer tour of the east slope of the Rocky Mountains and my steel player stayed in Denver while the rest of us headed back to Omaha. Couldn't find another steel player so decided to learn to play, never looked back... All of the tuners I currently own are for acoustic instruments so any advice on today's tuners would sure help! thanks all

A bit pricey...but worth the cash!!! They make tuning so easy. They even have steel presets!!!

I don't spend much on a tuner, $12.00 or $15.00 cause all I need from it is an E, usually 442, for my 4th string and chime the rest of the guitar out. Then chime out all my pulls as well.
I can't play a guitar that's tuned straight up 440 all the way across.

Just my 2 cents worth. Very Happy

BTW Dan, here's a few picture of your new Pro Lite.

Laughing Allan yes in deed he can.
I know several good players that tune straight up 440 all the way across, and play their hinny's off.
I'm just saying I can't do it, if I hear one small harmonic beat its gotta go, I simply just can't play it other wise.
Hey Stormy, thanks buddy.

Wow.. buy a Peterson strobo-flip or anything you can save your tuning on.

Just cause you can save the tuning... I understand how people say to tune by ear but wow...

I know my ear is better than any tuner but if I am tuning up in a loud bar or crazy situation no way I can just use my ear.. plus if you are tuning up before the set it is just unprofessional to go up there and tune away... and there is usually house music?

Sit with your individual steel and save the tuning... I have two steels one is S1 and one is S2.... it helps immensely at gigs.

If you are not gigging I guess you could get by without a tuner... but if you are a gigging musician you have to have a tuner.

Some people just have a hard time tuning by ear anyways.. the peterson steel presets will usually get you pretty close

I thought the video link was going to show that tuner being use,the only thing I saw being used was that guy with the guitars mouth.
I used on of those tuners at a steel guitar event, I found it hard to read and use it kept going one way or the other my steel was NOT in tune with it no where near my battery went down on my Sabine 1500 and o had forgot to stop and get new batteries.
I wouldn't trade my old Sabine 1500 for 2 of these things.when mine locks on green its in TUNE,i can also tune between frets with the touch of a button. it shuts off automatically a new 1500 sabine is 53.75 BRAND NEW why spend 300.00 on something difficult to use, and as far as i'm concerned totally inaccurate...Sorry just my opinion of overpriced eye candy...
