I hate to part with it, BUT have a new 8 string being built and already have another Melbert 6 string, so have to part with this beauty. Solid Cherry Wood, Fender Lace Sensor (blue) pup, very warm sound. Will include all of the accessories (TKL gig bag, amp cord, and Paloma Stone Tone Bar). $275 firm but that includes shipping (conus only).

Wayne,

Thanks for the comments, I ordered the guitar tuned to an open E but then went to an E7th. My other Melbert is tuned to C6th and that is starting to click for me so ordered the new 8 string in that tuning. Just can't justify having three and thus the hard decision, but hopefully it will find a good home and a happy new owner.

Thomas - I'm leaning toward buying your steel. Right now I'm using an old Magnatone Troubador 6-string in C6 through a blues junior amp. I can't seem to find a tone that isn't shrill. Might be my amp settings, might be my playing, might be the Magnatone.

I'd jump on your Melbert if it was warmer than the Magnatone. Is there a sound sample somewhere, perhaps?

Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately I do not have nor can I produce a sound sample but can honestly tell you that it has a very warm mellow tone. I play it through a Fender Mustang 1 set on "British 60s" and it is just "sweet". If there is anything else you want to know I'll do my best to tell you straight up.
