I have decided to sell this great effects unit to raise money for other toys. This is a great sounding and very versatile effects unit. I am including the midi foot controller which has 8 foot pedals and an expression pedal which can serve as volume, wah-wah, all sorts of things.
This unit is way overkill for my needs. Everything works great on it. I set up 2 of the patches according to Buddy Emmons: http://www.buddyemmons.com/genesis3a.htm
I first heard about this unit from Steve Sturm, who was playing steel with Travis Tritt when our band opened for TT. He said these units are a bit of an overlooked treasure. He uses on on the road.
One particularly cool feature is the warp knob. You configure a "red" patch and a "green" patch. You can then blend these 2 patches to any degree. So, lets say you set up a distortion "red" and a clean "green". You can dial in a little grit by just turning the warp knob. The ring of leds around the warp knob indicate the degree of blend.
The unit has great sounding reverbs, amp modeling, cabinet modeling, and a tap-setting delay (press the button in rhythm to set delay time).
Here is an in-depth review:http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/oct01/articles/genesis3.asp
These units are no longer made, and many folks like them. I'm looking for $200 + shipping.
Both pieces are fully functional. The power supply and midi cable are included. The pedal board has some minor paint dings.
Cheers

This is a great sounding multi-effects box and it is easy to configure. Use of the pedal board is totally optional. I just decided that since all I ever use is reverb, this device is overkill. However, it does serve very well as a reverb in combination with some delay if you want it, and eq. You also have knobs for quick tweaks of eq, much like a profex. _________________ "You call that thing a guitar?" |

This is a great multi effects box for steel or guitar. Also, the pedal board is very handy- instantly switch between patches, go to tuner, and you have a wah-wah or other effects controlled by the expression pedal. These units are no longer made. _________________ "You call that thing a guitar?" |
