Hi Everybody!
Just bought a 2-year old Jackson D-10.
Wow, it's great! So smooth & easy to play. A beauty!
I'm new to pedals and had been working on a E9 single neck. It soon became apparant that I should have sprung for a double-neck as I was already familiar with C6, and my band plays a lot of Western Swing and Hawaiian stuff.
I'm trying to figure out the C6 copedent this guitar was setup with, and I'm unable to get the high A raise to B on pedal 4.
I'm tuning the raises/lowers with pedals/levers activated as I did on my Sho-Bud. Is this correct?
There are 3 raises on this string: Pedal 4- A to B, Pedal 7- A to B, and RKR- A to Bb.
Does the spring tension have something to do with this problem?
If I do get the tuning up to B on pedal 4, the open A is way sharp. The other 2 raises tune fine.
Any ideas? Thanks! Rick

you probably have to add more travel on that rod Rick
which consists of changing the notch on the bellcrank that the rod hooks into
away from the body not towards it

Rick, make sure the 4th string is a plain .020 or plain .022 . Years ago I had the same problem trying to make a .022 wound tune up that I had put on by mistake. Just an idea.

Thanks guys!
I think I fixed it (for now)
I wish I knew what I did! I wiggled some stuff around and tightened the spring on the finger. Seems to be working now!
Guess I'll have to make another trip south to see Jim Palenscar. These more modern mechanisms are a bit different than rack & barrel!
I'm loving this C6 neck. A site-search revealed mostly E9 copedents. On mine, only the right knees are utilized on the C6 neck. RKR- A to Bb, RKL- C to B.
