Jeff, it has been an odd adjustment period for me going from playing bass for Ty's style of country to playing steel for Jay's style of country. And trying to fill Gary Lee Gimble's shoes also!! (dang, I wish he hadn't set the bar so high!!). One thing I got going for me though is I'm prettier than all you guys!!!!!!

Gary... I do have one hell of a stash! Smile
You gigging with anyone yet?

Fido: How was the crowd Friday nite?
Does Jays drummer surround himself in that plexiglass on outside gigs?

We were up at Woodsboro Carnival, really really humid outside. I drank 2 qts of water and sweated more that that.

Jeff, no gigs yet but there has been plenty of down time to increase my steel knowledge and iron out some issues I've been avoiding. Like I can't play the dern thAng! Bottom line is I've been enjoying my free time away from the band, as you know I worked with Jay with a couple of different bands for a total of, hmmm 7 years. I'm ready to play out again but not every weekend, not every Friday and Sat night.

Jeff, pretty good crowd, including Gary Lee Gimble!!!!! Yes, Jerry surrounds himself with the plexiglass even on the outside gigs, which I'm thankful for since I have to be right next to him onstage. Gary will have a gig in July with Jay at Addy's, I'll be playing bass that night because the regular bass player will be out of town. We'll be playing a nice little game of musical chairs that weekend.
