My band WEST OF NOWHERE will be making our yearly trek to the Grizzly Rose in Denver the week of June 14-19 and I would like to invite French horn,Bagpipers,Plummers or anyone who has only been playing steel around 28-53 days to come out and meet me and say hi.

Seriously, while any night that week is good Friday is the best night because we will be opening for a major act and the place is usually packed.

Hope to meet you there!

I think I can get out to hear you next week, Dick! Looking forward to hearing some steel guitar! I found your band's website at www.westofnowhere.com. Our site can be found at www.dickfrost.com.

Hi Gary,

This will be our 4th trip over the last three years at the Rose and we always look forward to getting out of town and coming to Colorado. They treat us great and we always seem to go over very well every time we've played there.

Last time we played there we opened for Cheyl Wright (sp) and she said some very nice things about us during her show.

I'm not sure who we'll open for this time so I don't know if they will have a steel or not but I would like to meet you or anyone else that has time to come out.

BTW are there any other good places in Denver that has country band with steel?

I would love to meet you and any other local steel player that has time to come see the show. I'm not sure who we'll be opening for Friday night so I have no idea if they will have a steel player or not.

Last time we opened for Blue County and they didn't have one.

BTW are there any bars open during the weeknights other than the Rose that has bands with steel players?

Hi Ronnie,

What a small world it is but no,Ronnie never played with WEST OF NOWHERE.Ronnie Renfro is the bass players (Jerrell Baker) cousin.Ronnie used to live in Dallas and he and I worked in a band for some time called Custom Fitt but that has been almost two years ago.Ronnie's wife wanted to move back to LA where she is from so they up and hit the road. Our Band recently did a showcase for a major label at the Hard Rock Cafe in New Orleans and we all stay the night at Ronnie's.

Check out my current bands website at www.westofnowhere.com
and I think you can still see some old pic's of me and Ronnie at www.customfitt.com

Last call before the bus leaves on Monday.

Come on out if you have time and you might just catch a cop attempt to steel.
