Thursday, I sat the MSP airport for nearly 12 hours in attempts to catch one of the 6 flights out for the day. I said hello to my Canadian steel playing friends as they were boarding a connecting flight all in hopes I'd make it down for Paul's seminar on Friday, a highlight I was looking forward to!
Needless to say I'm home, couldn't make a flight due to weather cancellations, South by Southwest and spring break!
I am bummed Maybe next year |

That is awful Kevin. I was not able to make the seminars even though I am about an hour away. Next year is a long way off but I hope it works out for you. |

I attended Day One (Beginner/Intermediate) of Paul's seminars at the Texas Steel Guitar Jamboree in Dallas this past Thursday March 8, 2012.
All I can say it was AMAZING. Paul is an excellent teacher who can explain technical and theoretical steel guitar concepts in an easy to understand manner. I have enough material from his handouts to practice for the next year at least.
I can tell that my playing and improvising on ALL my instruments is going to improve. Obviously Paul is a great steel guitarist, but also a GREAT THINKING MUSICIAN as well.
Thanks, Paul! |
