I need to replace a couple tuners on my Emmons Lashley LeGrande. Where is the best/cheapest place to buy a couple of these? The internal threads for the nut are stripped and they will not tighten down to the casting. I believe they are Schaller (or is the S Spertzel?)

photos always bring out the dust and scratches don't they?

Depends on how the hole is configured, some have a flat place in the hole, others don't.You might try Grovers,Schaller, maybe contact Emmons, they might be standard on that guitar & if so maybe Lashley has some. The "S" points to Schaller, there is the words "Made in W.Germany" on the tuners. The keyhead appears to be the kind with a flat to locate the tuner in the right position. Most of the Schallers I found have a hole for a locking screw but your keyhead doesn't have that.

These mount in a round hole (no flat spot) and a 2nd small hole for a stud.

Obviously, I want to get an exact match.

There's a whole set up on eBay right now

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Schaller-Tuner-Set-For-Lashley-LeGrande-Pedal-Steel-/390397579684?pt=Guitar_Accessories&hash=item5ae58251a4

Maybe he has singles as well. Might be worth contacting the seller.

I agree on getting a correct match,I have Grovers on my BSG ,it is drilled & tapped for a small screw on the machine head to position the tuner in the correct position,I didn't see that in your pics.,hence the reason for the hole configuration remark.I'm not familiar with your type of machine head but as others have mentioned get in touch with Emmons or the deal on eBay.The EBay deal is a good one, price is prolly as cheap as you'll find then you'll have a buncha spares should you need them.

I would contact Emmons direct if you don't need a complete set.
They will sell you individual replacements.
Be sure and tell them which neck and which string.

I have ordered several over the years because they will strip. I have also taken the washer off and that has solved the problem sometimes.
