Transferred my VHS to DVD via DVD recorder and was successful, but............my picture is narrow on my TV screen(vertically). I set the aspect ratio on the recorder but no avail. What am I doing wrong? What is the solution? Thanks |

Hi Ray, I don't know what your using to copy the VHS
files to your computer. You should copy the files to
the computer first and then use a video editing prog.
to make any changes, then before you record it to DVD
set the aspect ratio to 16:9. I use Power Director 6
for all my editing and recording. Windows Movie Maker
should also work, but it lacks a lot of features.

He is using a standalone DVD recorder, not the PC. We hashed that out in a different thread.
The only thing I can think of is a possible setup in the DVD player. Some "upconvert" to HD format. |
