Hi folks! new to PSG forum. I have a Williams d10 and was wondering if anyone has used any of these amps. Currently using my Vox valvetronix ad120 which is fine but looking for something else. I purchased a mustang v but returned it yesterday I traded it for peavey valveking 100 watts...looking for opinions.I played out with it yesterday right out of the store but was dissapointed with the volume and clearity....maybe didn't get the setting right...will probably return it nice 6 st amp...thanks Vin |

The first amp I brought home for my steel was a 65 reissue super reverb which sounded awful...not the sound I remember as a kid so it was returned. When at GC today I asked where it was, if they had sold it....no! It had to be repaired...grrrr! |

Mission accomplished! Brought back the mustang iv. Figured if I can't find a really good steel amp might as well get a really good guitar amp. So back at guitar center there's this dust ol Peavey which i've seen there and never considered it because the price was too low thought it was junk but what the heck. I went to move it and it wouldn't budge...tipped it over and there were 4 6L6GC's and a 1-12 Black Widow.....I'm home now recovering from a hernia with sweet steel music.....$175.00....HAPPY! |

Decided to keep the peavey. The clean channel only works with the food switch which i didn't have connected ....sounds pretty but I also just bought a F Deville which I played out with tonight and it sounded great! |

I bought the peavey VK 2-12 it is a great sounding guitar amp...I only play clean...sounds nice with steel...many knobs to adjust to make it sweet...played out Thurs with it right behind me....needs some distance with steel or guit cause it hums....get about 6' and it's silent....will be getting a peavey renown w/ BW15" next Sat....... |
