I'm looking for a cool sounds FX processor.
Any suggestions?
I saw one guy here on the forum using a Boss GX700.
I have a Behringer V-Amp Pro and an ART SGX2000. I can't seem to get the sound I want from either of them. _________________ Gary Shepherd

Neither of those units are known for having great effects perfomance, Gary, so it's not you....
Easily the best bang for the buck out there is the TC M-One, it is a dual engine device allowing two stereo effects to be utilized in parallel or two mono devices in series. With top-notch chorus and delay as well as very good reverb sounds, this truly professional effects processor sells for around $300, a fraction of the cost of the Lexicon PCM and Eventide units that you really want. Try to find one of the older units with 1/4" rather than LXR connectors.
There are other, cheaper products form Lexicon, Digitech, and others, but none of them offer the flexibility, power and ease of operation of the M-One. |

Gary, I have an MPX500 by Lexicon I am looking to sell..in mint shape. I bought it new and used it only a handful of times. E-mail me if you have interest.
Here's some info on it:
"The MPX500 is a mains-powered 1U processor (no wall-warts) with balanced analogue I/O on both XLRs and jacks, and S/PDIF digital I/O on phono connectors. The converters are 24-bit and an analogue dynamic range of 105dB is claimed. The unit features stereo operation and the signal path provides a number of routing options, from stereo-in, stereo-out to dual mono-in, stereo-out or dual mono-in, dual mono-out. It's also possible to select from a number of dual effects connected either in series or in parallel and, in the case of series connection, to vary the amount of the first effect feeding the second: normally, the Effects Level parameter accessed via the third Edit knob in parameter page one sets the balance of the two effects in a dual effect program, but in serial configurations, it varies the balance of effect one/dry signal that feeds effect two."
