I just purchased Tom Brumley's cd "In Time". It features 2 cuts of Tom playing a 1934 Ric 7 string. Steel Guitar Rag and Hawaiian Wedding Song.

This may be a long shot, but does anyone know what tuning Tom Brumley used on his Ric 7 string?

Steve, it's C6 on Steel Guitar Rag, 1st string E. Hawaiian Wedding Song is C6/A7.

Thanks, Mike. Would that C6/A7 be:

1. E
2. C
3. A
4. G
5. E
6. C#
7. C

No, Steve. You can hear a full B7 chord at the 2nd fret, which would indicate that string 7 is A.
