This show was without a doubt was one of the best. All the players were in top form and really played their best. I would like to thank all the players for their co-operation getting on and off the stage. The show ran so smooth and was never more than 10 minutes behind, and ended right on time. Thanks to the guys that helped get each players equip. on and off stage and a special thanks to the staff band for their great performance throughout the show. Sure was nice to have Jody Cameron on the show. I started him on steel and I am real proud of this young man. The officers and staff of the OSGA did a tremendous job getting this show together. As the show was dedicated to the memory of Don Compston, I think it brought out the best in everyone. Once again, thanks to everyone for making my MC job a pleasure at the show. See you down the road. Jody.

Jody........I already stated it in another post, but having you there keeping everyone on schedule was a genuine blessing and contributed greatly in the "smoothest" show I've ever attended...this is coming from a guy who's been to Texas 14 years in a row and to St Louis many times...this was absolutely the smoothest..Thank you.

Curt...buddy you played!! and I enjoyed the 'original' you did...along with Roy and Paul, we found a groove.

While we're giving credit where it is due, I want to thank Roy and Paul for their help...what a team and great guys too.I only hope that if Roy is 15 minutes late, that Barbara is too!!!!!

Jody- I'd like to appoligize once again, for ending Bob DuVall's and my set right on time, and not allowing you to come on stage with your "one more" signal.
(Inside joke)---BUT let me tell you, that I have become the newest bigest fan of CURTIS POTTER--- did he do GREAT, or what?
I just returned from Tulsa Teus. evening, and this is Wednesday evening (my wife's and my 49th wedding aniversary, I might add), and I have just listend to both of Curtis Potter's CD's, aqnd man, they are sompthin' ELSE! Sotty-- get this man in St. Louis this year!!!!

I too would like to thank Jody Sanders for a job well done! No steel show is complete without this man and he even let the Country Classics' go over a few minutes extra - thanks Jody! And thanks to the backup band - absolutely top notch, Larry, Dewayne, Roy, Paul, Buck, and John Terry. Thanks to the OSGA staff for keeping the show moving smoothly - our folks at the desk Clovis and Vivian Richards, Lisa Wheeler, Doyle Huff and all of our Board members and officers, my hat is off to you. And thanks to our vendors and membership for their support.
And to Curtis Potter and John Hughey W O W!!!
What a show, everyone out done themselves.
John Buffington, Pres. OSGA
