Recently tried an Alumitone in my Milly which up till then had a Truetone, through my MB200,which I run on "Steve English" type setttings. When I tried it with the Alumitone it sounded "boxy" and after much moving of settings found it ran best (to my ears)with the contour switch in the up position.I am pleased with both pups and just wondered if anyone had similar experience when changing pups. One thing I did notice was the Alumitone was a lot louder at same volume settings on amp, put this down to it being a humbucker, and maybe the string seperation was slightly better, but both great sounding pups.
