Hi Jim,
I am far from an expert. I have a 25R and I like its size, price and the reverb. It's tone was brittle and I couldn't turn down enough highs. I checked out the eminence speaker line and settled on the Patriot Lil' Buddy 10". The hemp cone is said to control blaring high tones. Now the amp is much better sounding and the bass is solid. Tone is mellow. My pedal steel and lap steels are a joy to play at home volume. I added a few screws to support the extra weight of the magnet; pretty flimsy originally. I like the speaker so much I got another hemp cone speaker to dial down the highs on my Hot Rod Deluxe; Cannibis Rex 12 ".
I'm pleased with the 25R upgrade, even though it's a hundred dollar speaker in a hundred dollar amp.
Have some fun, no one else can do it for you.

Luke
