Just got a new family member to go with the Honda Accord.... a Chevy Avalanche. So here's my humble attempt at an ode to a truck with a steel guitar instrumental. The intro is twin steels, middle verse E9th steel and the rest is flat picked guitar except for a short bar of C6 before the bass solo. Thin strings, solid body tele and a flat pick are a poor combo for fingerpicking but it is still interesting. Mostly based on Merle Travis' riff that hangs around strings 4,5 and 6 vamps on a standard guitar.
