Here's a stage shot from Saturday night at The Pageant in St. Louis. Harry Jackson did a complete rebuild on this guitar last year for me. New undercarriage, new threaded leg sockets, polished end plates, palm plunger ala Buck trent, tall volume knob for finger swells when I'm playing standing up, knee lever extension, and custom wood inlay by awesome steeler, Ron Blakley. I'm not good at writing co-pedents, but here goes....

G# pedal B^1/2
E knee ^1/2 & 1 and palm v1/2
B pedal A^1
G# pedal B^1/2
F#
E palm v1/2
D pedal C^1
B pedal A^1
G#
E
(The knee lever is a RL, and has a half stop on it)

Thanks Bud! It started life as a '69 raised neck Maverick. Btw, this IS the same guitar as in my profile pic. I have two sets of rods for it, to play sitting or standing. I'll post some better pics asap. Got some gorgeous birdseye in it.

That's pretty bad-ass Scott. And the Pageant is a beautiful place, I was just there in the Fall. Who do you play with? The Facebook link in your sig doesn't seem to work.

Sorry, I'll work on that. I'm not very internet savvy either, lol. I played there with Powder Mill and the North Mississippi All Stars. Also have my own band, Scott Shipley & Snake Oil, as well as playing solo acoustic stuff.

Scott -Is that the original pickup? If so, how do you like it? Also the changer itself ? Question

The pickup is a replacement I got a few years back from Wolfgang Bednardz, maker of WBS steels. A friend of his near Frankfurt wired it. Sounds exactly like a 60's single coil, only a little more bottom and cleaner. Less noise. I had to replace the original due to airport x-rays frying it. The whole undercarriage is new, save the original changer assembly, but it is VERY modified. Harry does brilliant work.

This guitar has HUGE tone. Nevermind the naysayers, Mavericks rock. Very lightweight too. Admittedly though, the extra logo work was specifically for the Maverick haters. Smile

Really? That's wild, I never thought of that as a possibility. Did it just stop working?

It went microphonic. Discovered it after I landed in Germany. Luckily, Wolfgang was able to hook me up. Sounds even better than the original in my opinion.
Btw, your '69 Pro is a beauty!
