Hello all,

A few weeks ago I opened a VERY old pack of Emmons C6 strings - had a G on top if that tells you anything - and in the pack, was the picture below. I received these strings from a Forum member years ago, I think I traded him a Lil' Izzy for a bunch of sets of strings, but his name escapes me. On the back of the photo it says "Bob and Lee, New Year's Eve 1975."

Is this any of you guys? I would be happy to mail the picture to it's rightful owner, it's been in a pack of strings for nearly 40 years! The strings sounded perfect by the way, not a spot of tarnish on them, green insert, Emmons Stereotone Strings. The gauges were stamped by hand, pretty cool.

Get in touch if the guys in the picture are friends, family or you.

Best,

Gerald Menke

Gerald,
That's me sitting behind the steel, playing bass. The singer is Lee Caudill, lead guitar is Lee's son Robbie.
American Legion, Clay KY.

What a surprise,

Bob Knight! Of course. Would you like me to mail the picture to you buddy?

Send me your mailing address in a private message or give a call and I'll take it down and send it to you. Glad to see you are still on the Forum - do you remember this gig, what kind of steel that is, or anything else about that night. Sure hope you all played Way To Survive.

My number: nine-one-seven 584-1250.

Best,

Gerald

Love it when this stuff happens.
Bob - that looks like one of those "Custom" brand speakers in the background. I recall sleeping on top of one in my brother's van as we traveled around NE doing gigs.

I love the old Kustom tuck - and - roll speaker cabinets. If I could find 2 of the single 15 cabinets, I just might consider going back to a rack setup.
