I'm looking for a preamp for a steel guitar that I can run into a soundtech 800 watt amp into 2 15 inch speaker cabs. I would buy the speaker cabs but I might build them.
I do not want any peavey profex models. Just never could operate or get the sound I wanted from them. I have a Peavey TJ Raxx preamp that might work. Just haven't tried it on a steel. Used it on keyboard. Does anyone use a preamp that they use that can obtain a sound like a nasville 1000 or vegas 400 or a nashville 112. Any speakers for sale??? Maurice |

Hi, Maurice, the Walker Stereo Steel amp or preamp is probably just what you're looking for. The tone stack seems to be basically modeled on the session 400 style but with two interactive semi-parametric mid control sections and lots more bells and whistles. I really love mine. _________________ Stop by the Steel Store at: www.markvanallen.com
