Playing the Eagles Club in Chillicothe, Missouri, Saturday night with Steelin' Country which is made up of steel guitarist/bandleader, Bruce Cowan, bassist, Kenny Butterfield, drummer, Ricky Cross, and myself. Four hours of nothing but traditional country music and 90 percent of everything Kenny Butterfield sings is Ray Price material and mixes up the remaining 10 percent of his set list with wild stuff from artists like Gene Watson, George Jones and the likes. It's my kind of music for sure.

Kenny--Sounds like my kind of music. Did you ever play on a float in Frontier Days in Cheyenne wy. and all the amps. got fried? Seems as if I should know you for some reason! This was in the early 70's so I might have your name mixed with someone else. Anyway have fun at the Eagles Club. Can't make it since I'm in the swamp land.

Yes, I would be that sap. Ten nights of playing the Am Vets and getting shorted on the gig by the Am Vets manager $600.00; amp and PA repairs for playing all four Frontier Day Parades that week $500.00; the whole experience priceless...But no regrets I met a lot great players while I was working and traveling with GTE's missile division including yourself.

It truly is a small world. I just read your note after getting home from playing with the Country Way Band. We also play at Chillocothe. We were just talking about you tonight. Maybe we'll meet sometime. I play steel and live in the Kansas City area. Been working with these guys for about two years now. Great bunch!!!!

It's those " 'ole animal tours" that keep us true Country Music lovers going.
