Anyone know who he is and what he carries for players.
Do not listen to the new country much ,so I do not know him.
Thank. Darrell |

Jake is an artist who came onto the country music scene around 2006. His first song was called "Yeehaw", followed by "Startin' With Me" that featured Paul Franklin on steel. His steel player, last I heard was Bryan Dickson, who plays a Franklin. Jake's current single is called "Alone With You".

Sahara Smith's guitar player's name is Jake Owen as well. Plays through a really cool sounding Fulton-Webb amp. |

Kyle Everson followed Bryan Dixon sometime back. Last I heard. Kyle had left. But either or neither could be back working with Jake. If Kyle see's this? He can fill you in.

Kyle played dobro on "Barefoot Blue Jean Night" by Jake.
It's unfortunate Jake doesn't use steel on the road..... |

Jake's back to using two guitar players on the road. I was there 2010-11, and I guess Bryan was there a couple years earlier. The new record has no steel. As Theresa mentioned, I was fortunate to get to play dobro on the hit single. |

I got a call off of a posting I made on a music store bulletin board. It was to do a show at a theater I had done some Patsy Cline shows at before.
I got together with Jake and some pickers, did one cold rehersal, then practiced a few tunes off a tape at home the next week. When we did the show, I thought it came off really well. He was a hometowner and did a great show. He was to leave for Nashville right after that. |
