Strange request but I would like to stiffen the action on my Kline. Too easy to play and having problems feeling the pedals.
Thanks |

I never saw a way to do it (and never wanted to). You can't really change the leverages as you can the newer all pull guitars. The only thing I could think of is, take a spring and hook it to the body and to the "bell crank" so that when the bell crank moved, it would also pull on the spring. I unfortunately don't have my Kline any more to look at. The easy action is one of the things that made me buy one. Hopefully someone that still has one will chime in. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . You can actually change the leverage and feel of the pedals by reversing the spring loaded clip or shaft(on the pedal) that the pedal rod ends connect to...if that makes sense.

Yes Richard It is different. Single trees like a ZB and no bell cranks with multiple positions. The spring idea may be the best or playing it bare foot.
Never had a steel this easy to play plus I have some neuropathy in my feet. |
