Just wondering if there are any Steel Guitar clubs in the greater LA area? I'm working out there now and would like to check out some players in the area. Coming from Texas where we have a bunch of great players I'm thinking the west coast must have some great ones too!
Thanks

There aren't really any organized clubs, but there are a few of us out there that get together informaly and spend the day doing steel stuff.
Mike Perlowin organizes the annual LA Steel Jam, which takes place in the spring. I imagine he'll chime in on this.

I would have thought there would be several in California just like there are in Texas geographically breaking up the state. I would have thought a few in the Greater LA area.

We've had some in the past and they weren't well received and went belly up. I have entertained the idea of another club here in the Bay Area, but haven't decided if I want to give it a try.
