It was three years ago today that Tom Brumley passed on. What a tragic loss to the steel guitar world. Tom was my inspiration to play steel, my hero, and my friend. Miss ya Tom.

I didn't Tom personally, but he is a hero and I'm thankful for the gifts that he gave us. He'll never be forgotten. _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |

What a great player! He had so many good moves on the steel but I think he'll always be remembered for his work on "Together Again", that little three note "walk down" on the fifth string while holding the note on the 3rd string is one of the finest things ever recorded on steel...RIP Tom....JH in Va. _________________ Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!! |

Tom had such an awsome choppy sincopated picking technique when he got going some tracks like Buckaroo, Tom cattin or runnin short as a player of the "new school" I admire this alot. I try to bring some of this out in my playing when ever I can. |
