Hello Friends,
Moving to Hawaii soon and was wondering what precautions I might need to take in regards to keeping musical equipment safe (pedal steels and amps specifically). I've heard the heat and humidity can be a big problem.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Mahalo!!

Check with Jim Hollingsworth, he moved to Hawaii. He can probably answer your questions.... _________________ The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God" Psa. 14:1

Just free-associating here....It'd seem to me that air conditioning is as commonplace on the Islands as it is on the mainland, and that since gear is usually kept indoors, presumably in a temperature/humidity-controlled environment, you might not have to do any more than be as careful as you would be in other places where there's a temperature and humidity difference between inside and outside.
Of course,I've never been to Hawaii(Spain, either!)so this is just opinion. |

Thanks Dave and Dan!
Yes I could just be overly cautious here, but I have heard stories about having to store equipment using damp rid, mold on computer CPUs, volcanic SO2 creating acid rain and working havoc on circuits.
Just hoping to get some feedback from locals maybe, or from others in similar environments. |
