This year will mark the first since.... ? that I will not be at the Gospel Steel Guitar Convention, as I am already booked with Miss Messina, as her 2005 tour gets geared up.

I just wanted to publicly thank Doug & Stevie Rolfe, and the wonderful people who attend the show every year for making me, and my wife, feel so welcome and at home through the years. I sincerely hope to return, as Doug's and my schedules allow.

To past attendees, this year's program looks to be filled with wonderful people and players - so have fun!

To anyone who hasn't attended before: if you love to hear traditional (and sometimes not traditional!) gospel music played on the steel guitar by some of the most blessed players in the world, and lift up His name - in a non-denominational setting - you owe it to yourself to go.

Have a wonderful 2005 convention, and thanks,

David Spires

Thanks David for the kind words. We will miss you this year. When I told someone at the Dallas show that you weren't coming this year due to your schedule with Jodee, they said that's ok, could he just send Becky!!!
Chuck(David's dad on lead guitar) and Stephen(David's brother on drums) will be here, so we will have the Spires family represented.

This will be the greatest year for Indy's Gospel Show. Doug & Stevie along with the great Staff present a wonderful program and a lot of inspiration. See you There. Wayne

I am looking forward to the Gospel show. It is one of my very favorite shows. I really don't consider it a show, I consider it a major event. Tim, I am glad you are coming. Please be sure and look me up so I will know you are there. Erv, if it's not too much trouble bring that new push pull for me to check out.

I forgot to mention that we are blessed again to have Jerry Newberry and Austin Stewart back again this year. I am looking forward to all of those who are coming to be a part of the show. If you're lucky, you might even get Austin to say hello to you.

Hi Doug. Dana here, mom is down in MS fishing. It was great to see you in Dallas & we look forward to coming to Indy. Thank you so much for the invite. Last year was my first year to be there & I enjoyed it very much. Lots of friendly people.

Austin is speaking to people more & more these days so you might just get a hello. The trick to making him talk to you is to ask him about a guitar.

See you all soon.

Dana

I have talked with Joe Adams and he is bringing Gary Adams with him. As many of you know, Gary was in a very serious car accident and they weren't sure he would live. He still has serious problems with his left arm and can't play a guitar, but he is coming to sing and be a part of the show. We are looking forward to hearing Gary.

Get your hotel room reservations in early as the hotel usually sells out several weeks before the show. Last year they were sold out about five weeks before we had the show.

Jerry R.,
I'll be sure to look you up when I get there. I'll bring along that new p/p also. I have recently gone through a 1967 p/p also, the one with the decal. It is a FINE looking instrument. That's close to yours, isn't it?
The serial no. is 1107D.

It's just three weeks until the 13th annual GSGA show. We're finalizing the schedule and there may be a few rooms left at the hotel. Come and see us.
