Snuffy Smith internationally known luthier and banjo player has passed away. I don't have any details, but will post them when I hear something. RIP Mr. Snuffy. Your work on earth is done.

According to the Bluegrass Today website, he passed away on Friday afternoon. Funeral services were this evening. I never had the pleasure of meeting him but his name came up quickly when someone asked about getting a quality setup on an acoustic instrument in this part of the world, and no one I knew had a bad word about him personally as well.

Snuffy made the Gene Wooten dobro capos. I believe he also made the longer 10 string versions that some of the Opry guys, Hal and maybe Weldon, had.
