Don't know about tab, but Al Petty smoked the thing on PSG at some of the ISGC conventions. If there's any way you could find a video of that.

Ive never seen any steel tab on this song but if you know lots of banjo style rolls they might work well if you can work them into the melody line. I beleive the tune might be in the Key of D minor with flat 3rds 5ths and 7ths the bridge and straight major for the fiddle section. You could substitute the D minor F major Like a banjo roll at the 8th fret with pedals down there shoud be lots of stuff to work off there, or a no pedals scale starting at the 8 th fret or open at the 7th string and going up from there. That will get you a D minor scale. Hve fun with it. I can play this on the fiddle but never tried on steel.

I was kinda worried I gave you some false advice there so I went to my steel and to make sure I wasnt sending you on a wild goose chase. I worked out alot of the melody line in this song with these fret positions I told you so you should be good to go dude.
Have fun

Look up Lonesome Fiddle Blues. It's basically the same tune. Should give you some ideas.
