"The Waltz You Saved For Me" was one of those instrumentals in the early 50's that got me all fired up about Pedal Steel. I still love the sound of it in the right hands.
It's an about turn for me to play this song on my
6 stringer non pedal today but I get just as much satisfaction in doing so as I did back then on a
Fender 400 or Sho Bud.
Whoever really invented this tuning deserves a pat on the back.

Nicely played, in that classic style I love best. Thanks for posting it.

that was nice Roy - i remember hearing Buddy Charleton do TWTSFM and its been one of my fav's since. I'm gonna sit down with your version tonight and learn it. THANKS!
it is amazing what you can do with a 6-string C6, since i got my B-6, i've had way more fun than i thought possible - i was one of those beginners that assumed you just had to have 8 string double neck at minimum to play anything 'professional'. _________________ '65 Sho-Bud D-10 Permanent • '54 Fender Dual-8 • Clinesmith T-8 • '38 Ric Bakelite • '92 Emmons D-10 Legrande II |

Many Thanks Al, Jerome. Nice to hear from you both!
If I was not a Pedal Steel player I don't think I
could have played this on a simple C6 lap steel the
way I did on the subject clip here. When arranging it I was thinking pedal steel and went after the
same grips, chord transitions etc. Of course I do not get the continous sustain ie when changing from the 1 chord to the 4 chord but we end up with a nice sounding arrangement. I think anyway.
The right hand is the key to playing this properly and I mean blocking/muting. In my case it is palm
blocking all the way.
Good luck to you both and thanks again.
