Up for sale is a Canopus 8 string console steel. Comes with 4 legs, leg bag, original curly cord, and case key. This is a heavy guitar for a non pedal - in the case it weighs 30.0 lbs on my digital bathroom scale (just one pound less than my Sierra lap steel in case).
The Canopus guitars are very popular with many Hawaiian players, and are quite expensive. They can sell for upwards of $1400 new. This one is in very good shape. The small side compartment in the case has come loose (see upper right corner of 1st pic next to legs, and same place in last pic).
$950 gets it shipped anywhere in the CONUS.
Holding out for a sale right now, but could possibly trade later towards a D-8 or T-8 console or PSG with 3 & 5, Emmons set up if it does not sell.
