I know it's several months away but this is just an early heads up. April '05 will be here before you know it. I just confirmed the dates today with the Ramada Inn in Washington,PA. The show will be April 22,23,& 24, 2005. You can call the Ramada Inn direct to reserve your room for the show special price of $62.95. The phone number is 724-225-9750. This is the only number to call for the show special. The 800 number for Ramda will not get you the special rate. Likewise, an online registration won't get it either. They are accepting reservations as of today. So far the list of players is incomplete. The players I have contacted, and that have given us an early commitment are, Herby Wallace, Bobbe Seymour, Mike Sigler, and Butch Peters. There will be more to come after St.Louis. As things progress I will keep you all informed as much as possible. We plan to do this show on the opposite year of the Hummingbird Show, so it won't interfere with their schedule. Plus we want Rick Troyer and some of the other great local players to be able to play at ours too.
See page 2 of this post for the updated player list.

Mike, You know every town has that committee that gives people the half a peace sign salute at some time or other. I guess our little town is no different than anyone else's. If they only knew who they were saluting.
Janice, Where is Pleasant Gap,PA? I'm not familiar with that one.

Janice,
I know the general area. I'm playing in Reynoldsville Friday nite this week. That's about a hour away from you I think. It's near DuBois. I played in Sykesville last Sat. nite. I have good friends in Port Matilda, last name Houtz. You're about 3 hours from here in Washington.

Washington,PA is 25 miles south west of Pittsburgh on I79, and 25 miles east of Wheeling,WV on I70. the 2 interstate highways cross right here. It's 6 hours from Philly and about 8 from NYC. The Ramada Inn is located at Exit 15 of I70. You can't miss it.

Thanks for the heads-up. I pass right by there on the way to visit my son in Pittsburgh. I'd say there's a good chance I'll come for at least a day.

I remembered Butch Peters from a 70's album by Linda Lee -- local gal in Upstate NY. I e-mailed Butch a few times when I first found him online. Good pickin' on that old Vinyl.

See if you can get that Cohen fella on the schedule too.

Just a quick update on the line-up for the April '05 show. While in St.Louis we added some more players to the list, including Randy Beavers, Russ & Laney Hicks, Doug Jernigan. It's looking better all the time. This is going to be a great show. We are now taking orders for program ad's and sponsors. If you would like info, e-mail me and I'll get it to you.
Doug has also agreed to do a seminar on Friday if there is enough interest. Let me know early so we can arrange it.

Just a quick heads up. I checked with Ramada Inn yesterday and they are getting reservations in for the show. See my first post at the top of this thread for the info, and get your reservations in if you want a room at the show location. If there is a need for overflow rooms at some of the other motels, they are close but not within walking distance.

Hi Jim. This looks like it’s going to be a great show. I am planning to attend. By the way, are you still playing with Diamonds in the Rough? I played with them for 4 years, and they are great people. Say hello to Kim and everyone for me. Hope to see you when you are playing in the area, and our schedules don’t conflict God Bless.

Larry, I have been working with them all summer in Steve Porter's absence while he is in Kuwait. We just did the last job on the books for the season last Sat. Unless something else comes, up I don't have anything on the schedule with them for the rest of the year. They are a great bunch to work with.
Hope to see you at the show. Make sure you flag me down and say Hi.

Names are coming in for the Doug Jernigan seminar. If you are planning on attending I need to hear from you soon, because space is limited.

We are happy to announce the addition of the "Great" Trio of Danny Hullihen, Mike Kyle, and Del Shorts to the Player list for the show next April. And of course Jagwire strings will be on display also. Keeps gettin' better all the time.
SAm, although Jim Cohen is not on the player list at this time it could be arranged if he and I could get together.

Jim. Thanks so much for the invitation, and I'm looking very forward to doing this show. You've got an incredable line of some of the best players in the world, and I have no doubt this is going to be a really great show for sure. People are telling me that the Hotel is booking up fast, and it looks like this one is going to be a sell out, long before the show dates!

I'm hoping that Jim Cohen will make it this year too. I really love his style.

Glad to have you Danny, and I have to agree with you, it's a great line up. As I said before it just keeps getting better. You can add two more names to the list of "Big Players". We now have Jerry Brightman and the "Legend" Don Helms confirmed to perform. Better get your reservations in soon. The Ramada Inn will fill up fast.
