A few weeks ago I announced here on the Forum that I
have a new Four Star Steel Guitar Book and CD. I have taken 3 songs from some of the greatest hit makers and arranged them for Steel Guitar .. Merle
Haggart, Ray Price, Patsy Cline, Buck Owens.
I want to thank those who have supported this effort to date and am very happy with the response.
Starting this week I am going to post a song from
the Course so those interested in learning the
former Hits can hear what is included.
My signature below has changed because Ron Turner has
has just completed an upgrade on his ClicTab Site and
what a nice job!!! Please check it out.

This isn't meant to be personal, and please don't take it that way (here come the butt part): but, I think you might sell more courses if you used songs that were at least contemporary with people's parents, not their grandparents. If you had a course with "Every Breath You Take" and "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" it would stand out to a young person, in huge contrast to all the other steel guitar courses teaching thirty-to-seventy year-old songs. If you were 15 in 1960, you're now 67.... There are a few retirees who want to play those songs, but I would think they're greatly outnumbered by younger guitarists looking to add a skill. |

Hi David,
Your points are well taken but I am happy to help
the older generation to which I belong. I have my
supporters and am as busy as I want to be with my Course sales and My Web Page thanks to Ron Turnerand of course this valuable Forum.
However, I will look up the songs you refer to
and see how I might fare.
Thanks for the tip and all the best.
