I use a pod xt live to power my Variax 500 guitar and also run my lap steel guitar thru it also. I have downloaded some steel guitar presets and it seems that my steel is some what distorted. I have turned down the pod's output but no luck. My steel has a Gorge L pickup and I'm using a Fender Frontman 25 amp. My Variax sounds fine. When running my steel straight thru the amp sounds fine. P.S Do you have any good steel downloads for the pod xt live? Jerry
