Teresa, so sorry to hear this. I got to jam with your dad several years ago. He was such a nice man that I truly respected. My prayers go out to you and Mike and your family.

Teresa, I am deeply saddened by this news. We will keep your family in our prayers. I will always remember the great times we had pickin' and talking with Charlie at the family reunions. It was a great blessing to have known him.

Charlie was a good guy. He was my seat-mate on a flight to London in 1980 to do the Wembley Festival. My condolences, Mike and Teresa.

I had the privelage of being part of a show that opened two shows in one day for Roy Acuff and the guys. Charlie and the whole group were so gracious. This was the late '70's. This is a sad loss.

I've heard Charlie on the Opry and his name mentioned for so many years while I was growing up. We are losing our heros of the Opry way too fast! He will be missed but he will always be with us via Opry Classic replays. Sorry for your loss my friend!!!
