My Dad, Charlie Collins, long time guitar player for Roy Acuff, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012. Visitation will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2012, from 2PM until 8PM. The funeral service will be on Monday, Jan. 15, 2012, at 10AM. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

I had the privelage of being part of a show that opened two shows in one day for Roy Acuff and the guys. Charlie and the whole group were so gracious. This was the late '70's. This is a sad loss. |

I've heard Charlie on the Opry and his name mentioned for so many years while I was growing up. We are losing our heros of the Opry way too fast! He will be missed but he will always be with us via Opry Classic replays. Sorry for your loss my friend!!! |
