VERY! NICE ! 1988 HD28 Martin Shenandoah Acoustic Guitar. this guitar is a 8-1/2 or 9 on the 10 scale. it has never been drilled for a strap button on the neck heel yet. it also comes with a very nice fitted Hard shell case. the first $700.00 gets it. pics and SR# upon request. buyer pays shipping or can be picked up in the Dallas Ft Worth area to save on shipping cost . i might consider meeting someone with in a reasonable distance. email me or PM with your offers. thanks

This Guitar Posted here in no way represents the one posted by kenny buford from ebay!! the guitar offerd on ebay is an 85 mine is 88 , the ebay guitar is Acoustic elec, Mine is Not , the Ebay Guitar has CRACKS!!/ Lots of Scratches!! Mine does not . the ebay guitar is just a D2832 , mine is an HD2832 which by the way according to Martin is a very big price increase it means it has the herring bone details!! I wonder sometimes why folks impose on others for sale ads here with these ebay Links . i understand that most of us go to ebay for a reference which by the way i did... but if i wanted to go head to head with an ebay price i would have posted it on ebay.. so if i understand it correct if that guitar from ebay sells to a forum Member I owe the forum a percentage? or the feller that posted the link? .. Whoa!,,,,, its very confusing for some. I have recieved a few emails asking why i am one price here on the forum and another on ebay .. sometimes you wonder WTF,, turns out Kenny was just a tire kicker anyway which i expected a few of anyway no harm no foul there.. but dang.. b0b is there a way to remove that link or am i stuck with it.. at anyrate guys if you are looking for that Martin sound on a budget well then take a look at this guitar it is PRISTINE!! with loads of TONE..

These guitars are great!!! And Al's example is in exceptional condition. These Shenandoahs were the very first budget-line guitars by Martin and they made every effort to see that the range would do nothing but credit to their well-respected name.

Me? I'm a Grand Auditorium kind of guy so Dreadnoughts aren't for me, but I must admit I was tempted when I saw how nice this one was!

I wasn't attempting impose the other guitar ad I was just trying to figure out if I had the right guitar I didn't mean to offend you in anyway. It seemed like your guitar was priced right for a Martin, but I know that Martin has started making some lessor priced guitars and was attempting to figure out what you were pricing. As I stated I was not attempting to offend you. If the guitar hasn't sold I appreciate hearing back from you on it.

Kenny , you didn't offend me hoss , The guitar is still available as of this morning I do however have a few other folks kicking the tire's but the first one with cash owns it. Just to clear things up this guitar is a lower end Martin but far and above today's standards of Their lower end guitars as roger stated these Shenandoah's were built to a higher standard. They are somewhat of a collector guitar as they didn't make very many of them as I was told at martin when I called to get some info about it. this guitar cleaned up and polished with a new set of strings would be as close to new as a used guitar could be if you wanna chat further email me your phone #and let's make a deal . I want to sell it .

I played in a band once and the guitar-player had the D-2832 - it was excellent. These have solid spruce tops and laminated back-and-sides. There's no question that these Shenandoahs are far superior to today's budget-price Martins; they're in a different league.

I don't want to stick my neck out here but this one Al is selling is the only 'herringbone' version I've ever seen - I didn't know they'd ever made a Shenandoah HD!

As I said earlier I prefer the tight-waisted 000-style Martins - otherwise I'd be taking advantage of Al's 'good ole boy' price myself!

Ok guys , I know the economy is tuff these days so I chatted with the mother in law and she says to drop the price on this guitar one time only so here goes .. $700.00 and you pick up the shipping. If it does not sell for that it will go back under the bed .

If Dennis does not want the guitar I'll take it for $700.00 cash and pick it up the last week of this month. I don't return to the United States until 20 Jan 2012 and I won't be going anyplace over the weekend it will take minimum of 48 hours for my back to recover from 20 plus hours of flight time. E-mail me at kburford1@hotmail.com post here for a reply. Kenny
