Does anyone know how close the power amp in a Peavey Bandit compares to the Nashville 112? Thanks.

Peavey made a number of different Bandits over the years, and I owned one of each version. For steel, I preferred the very first version of the Bandit 65 built. I could match it's tone to my NV112 quite easily. Very different eq settings, but the output was indistinguishable to the NV 112.

Great little amps considering you can pick them up for $60 - $120 almost anywhere. I don't think I ever paid over $100 even for the most recent model....

I used them very happily for small gigs and practice when I was a Peavey user.

Can't answer your question though as you didn't mention what version/model you have. Smile

Kenny have you considered the Roland XL80 ? I just picked up one and it is FANTASIC!

$370, 35 lbs and loaded with tone. Great for practice or even small venues.

I've received nothing but great compliments from other player about the tone. Pretty good volume from a little package Smile !

I know you asked about the Bandit and the 112 but thought I might add this to the discussion.

I was curious how the Bandit power amp section would compare to a Nashville 112. To answer Steve's question I am probably talking about the first early Bandits, but sort of all of them. I have a Sarno Classic preamp and was toying with using a Bandit just for the power amp on smaller jobs. Sorry about not being more clear in my question. Thanks again for your help.

My revelation into the amp section of a bandit sounded great! Huge improvement over the Bandit front end.

Anything SMS is better than anything not! Very Happy
