I have a Sierra Session S10 keyless, Emmons setup. There is zero play in the 4th string raise on the C pedal - if I even barely touch the pedal, the pull on the 4th string begins (the 5th string does have a little free play before its raise begins). I want a little bit of slack on the 4th before the pull begins. I think the way to approach this may be to de-tune all three pulls on the 4th string (loosen the raises on the C pedal and LKL, and the lower on LKR), tune the 4th string at the keyhead back to pitch, and then retune the three pulls, but I'm not sure in which order (which should I tune first - the raises or the lower, and in what order?). I'm not even sure if following that process will add the little bit of play to the C pedal I'm hoping for. Advice please? Thanks guys!

Not too familiar with Sierra's, but I don't think that will accomplish what you want. Sounds like you want more slack before the change on string 4 starts. You probably need to add a little more travel to the pedal, but I think that will probably add more slack to string 5 than you will want. Another thing to try is to move the 4th string rod to a different hole in the bell crank or in the changer. Someone here should be able to help for sure, but this is what I think will have to happen.

i think you should tune up the longest raise first on the c pedal and make sure at that point there is all the travel you want in the pedal. then adjust up the rest.
