Ron,
Vitrolite glass panels were used as exterior paneling on buildings in the 1920's-30's. According to Wikipedia, it hasn't been made in the USA since the 40's. This slide was probably recycled from a broken piece of paneling. They aren't hard to make. Just shape the slide and fire polish the edges. Glass is a little soft to use as a slide with today's stainless or alloy strings.

Thanks for chiming in, Crowbear. Those were better examples than Wikipedia had.

I'm playing around with some quartz bars, but they aren't ready for prime time yet. Quartz bars are much harder than glass.
